3. LABORATORY OF AQUATIC TOXICOLOGY
Coordinator: Dr. Ali Karami Varnamkhasti

Fish are the excellent models for understanding the effect of chemicals on human and/or environmental health. Laboratory of Aquatic Toxicology is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, allowing our students to develop their ideas and test their hypotheses at the world class levels. Currently, the focus of our laboratory is on evaluating the in vivo toxicity of pesticides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and nanomaterials using different fish species such as zebrafish (Danio rerio) and African catfish (Clarias gariepinus).
