Gold Medal Award |
Dr. Karmegam Karuppiah of Department of Environmental and Occupational Health won Gold Medal for his project entitled "A Conceptual Design and Development for Children on Motorcycle: An Approach on Safety Backrest” at the Exhibition of Invention, Research, and Innovation (also known as PRPI) held in Serdang, Malaysia from November 15 to 16, 2016. Team members included Sivasankar A/L Sambasivam, Associate Professor Dr. Shamsul Bahri Bin Hj. Mohd Tamrin, Associate Professor Dr. Kulanthayan K.C Mani, and Dr. Emilia Zainal Abidin. Dr. Sarva Mangala Praveena of Department of Environmental and Occupational Health won Gold Medal for her project entitled “Emerg Nano Filter-Low Cost Water Filtration Unit for Small Scale Use in Emergency Situation” at the aforementioned exhibition. Team members included Dr. Karmegam Karuppiah, Dr. Leslie Than Thian Lung, Dr. Ho Yu Bin, Dr. Emilia Zainal Abidin, Dr. Sharifah Norkhadijah Syed Ismail, Associate Professor Dr. Ahmad Zaharin Aris, and Professor Dr. Zailina Hashim. |
Silver Medal Award |
Dr. Ali Karami Varnamkhasti of Department of Environmental and Occupational Health won Silver Medal for his project entitled "A Giant African Catfish” at the aforementioned exhibition. Team members included Professor Dr. Amin Ismail, Samaneh Sadat Karbalaei and Abolfazl Golieskardi. Professor Dr. Patimah Ismail of Department of Biomedical Sciences won Silver Medal for her project entitled "New Anti-Cancer Drugs against MicroRNA and MAP Kinase Pathway” at the aforementioned exhibition. Team members included Parham Jabbarzadeh Kaboli and Dr. King-Hwa Ling. Associate Professor Dr. Rajesh Ramasamy of Department of Pathology won Silver Medal for his project entitled "Stem Cell Therapy for Immune Diseases” at the aforementioned exhibition. Team members included Shalini Vellasamy, Tong Chih Kong, and Dr. Abhi Veerakumarasivam. |
Bronze Medal Award |
Dr. Eusni Rahayu Mohd. Tohit of Department of Pathology won Bronze Medal for her project entitled "MyHaemostasis-Interactive Learning” at the aforementioned exhibition. Team members included Associate Professor Dr. Lili Nurliyana Abdullah and Associate Professor Dr. Malina Osman. Dr. Mok Pooi Ling of Department of Biomedical Sciences won Bronze Medal for her project entitled "Genetically-Modified Human Wharton's Jelly-derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells For Treatment of Ocular Disorders” at the aforementioned exhibition. Team member included Dr. Suresh Kumar. |
