Program “Ceria Sihat KPP Bersama Warga Penderas 2016” The program "Ceria Sihat KPP Bersama Warga Penderas 2016" is an annual voluntary event organized by the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, FMHS since 2013. The program was held from 18 to 20 November, 2016 in SK Penderas, Kuala Krau, Pahang Darul Makmur. SK Penderas has been adopted by faculty since June 17 in 2016. The program was accompanied by Department of Nursing and Rehabilitation, led by the head of the department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Soh Kim Lam together with their academic staff and support staff. A total of 60 students from the Bachelor Science (Environmental and Occupational Health) and 25 students from the Bachelor of Nursing were also participated this program. The target group is indigenous children aged 7 to 12 years and also the adults. Among the activities that carried out were screening and health education for adults as well as home visit. Science, health abd the environmental themed were carried out among the school children. The special event in this year was planting chillies and soursop trees brought from UPM. The closing ceremony was graced by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norhaizan Mohd Esa, Deputy Dean (Academic Health Sciences and Student Affairs). The school was represented by the Headmaster, YBrs. Mr. Zambrie bin Mohammed, along with Senior Assistant (Student Affairs), YBrs. Tn. Hj. Mohd Nordin Mohd Noor. Hopefully program can be continued in the future is to strengthen the skills for students as well as straighten the connections between faculty, school and the indigenous community.
