This is the latest academic programme offered by the
Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. The B. Sc (Dietetic)
programme started in Semester 1 2005/2006 academic session
and is conducted by the Nutritional and Health Science
Department.There are 35 first
batch students currently pursuing this programme.
PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
The Dietetic Programme incorporates a comprehensive
curriculum which is aimed at producing highly trained
and professional graduates in the field of clinical
nutrition, institutional food service management and
community nutrition.
1. To provide education and professional skills to students
in the field of dietetics.
2. To provide students with expertise in clinical nutrition,
institutional food service management and community
nutrition.
3. To produce trained and professional graduates in
dietetics.
The offering of this programme is compatible with UPM’s
mission to contribute to human development in line with
the university’s aim which is to produce graduates
of quality, competitive and able to contribute to the
development of a healthy and productive society.
