Department of Nutrition , Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UPM was established to conduct teachings, research and professional services in the field of nutrition . The department offers undergraduate programs namely Nutrition and Community Health and also offering M.Sc. and PhD programswith a thesis in the field of Community Nutrition, Nutrition Science and Nutritional Biochemistry. This department focuses research areas on nutrition among children, teenagers, adults, elderly . Research on household food security, healthy lifestyle, health promotion, relationship between socio-cultural and nutrition, functional foods, identify components ofanti-cancer and probiotic and nutraceuticals, health also emphasized.
