SERDANG, 3 June - For the first time, Universiti Malaysia Sabah has organized the "North Borneo Intervarsity Surgical Quiz Competition" in conjunction with the conference 'Sabah Surgical Conference 2023' organized by the Sabah Surgical Society. UPM has won this competition where the participation of Sister Foong Wei Ern, Sister Chang Chen Yue, Sister Nurhanani binti Masjuki, Brother Pang Kin Seng and Brother Shivadharshan Naidu Year 5 Medical Students, UPM Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences with the supervision and guidance of Dr. Ahmad Al-Hafeez Ahmad Zaidi, Medical Lecturer, Department of Surgery. This competition was participated by six (6) teams from local universities, aiming to test the knowledge of medical students regarding the field of surgery. The winner brought a prize of RM1,000.00 and the prize was presented by Dr. Chuah Jitt Aun, Physician, Department of General Surgery, Queen Elizabeth Hospital at the Hilton Hotel, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This victory proves that UPM is committed to producing skilled and excellent graduates in various fields.
